 I have always had a passion for arts and crafts in my own funny way and as I approach the magical retirement age I once again find myself drawn to the wonderful world that excites not only me but most people who are lucky enough to discover this intriguing industry including my children and grandchildren who have their own special talents. 

Not only for the beautiful and sometimes different hobbies and businesses that artists and crafters embark on but also the opporutnities that arise in meeting the people who are the ARTISTS and CRAFTERS who make the industry so fascinating and compelling.

My first venture into the world of arts and crafts was  a small craft shop and second hand book store called Sonny Kleus in the Strand near Cape Town, South Africa which I bouyght about 30 years ago and which I ran successfully for a number of years. I bought the shop initially because of my love of books but it was soon the craft side that took over and became my first love.

I later joined forces with a friend and started a beads and badges shop in the next town which we developed and passed on to one of our offspring a year or so later as a thriving business.

Having relocated to the U.K. some 16 years ago  I now find myself seeking a new challenge and a way to secure my retirement while indulging my passion and thus it is that the decision to embark on another great adventure has been born.

I am fortunate in having the expertise, help and guidance of my son who has been in the trade for 13 years working for specialist digital art and craft manufacturers/distributors.

As a consequence of the above I am able to source many top brands at competitive prices as well as having access to experienced advice and help if required.
